We run beginners courses approximately three times a year.
The courses run for three consecutive Sundays, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and covers the basic principles of archery, range safety and the use of the equipment. You will be assigned your own coach to provide one to one tuition .
The course costs £45, which covers insurance, hiring of equipment, the venue and the provision of light refreshments.
The course is open to children over the age of twelve* (as long as they are strong enough to use the equipment) and we cater for both left and right handed archers.
If you are interested then keep an eye on the club news section of the web site and also complete the beginners pack request form so we can contact you.
* All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Welcome to the web site of Little Abbey Bowmen.
We are a small, friendly and informal archery club based in Buckinghamshire that has been shooting since 1972. Our mission is to promote and encourage archery as a sport.
We shoot at two locations, The White Hill Centre, Chesham during the indoor season (generally October to May) and at Amersham and Chiltern rugby club, Amersham during the outdoor season (generally May to October).
We have some excellent up and coming archers and we hope to be entering competitions against other local clubs soon. However, note that we do not allow hunting or the use of crossbows.
This web site is here for your enjoyment with the soul purpose of allowing you to find out about our club. It also allows current members of the club to keep up to date with club news.
You will find information on club activities, beginner’s courses, locations where we shoot and club news.
