Beginner’s Courses

New to archery and want to get started? Need a relaxing, sociable hobby to get you out of housework? Come to one of our beginner’s courses!

​

We run beginner’s courses according to demand.  The courses run for three consecutive Sundays, from 10.00am to 12.00am, and cover the basic principles of archery, range safety and the use of the equipment.  You will be assigned your own coach to provide one to one tuition.

​

The course costs £50, which covers insurance, hiring of equipment, the venue and the provision of light refreshments.

​

The course is open to children from the age of twelve  (as long as they are strong enough to use the equipment) and we cater for both left and right handed archers.  We require at all lessons that a parent or guardian attends with the junior or vulnerable adult.

​

At the end, you can make an informed decision on whether you would like to pursue archery further.

​

The club abides by the Archery GB policy for safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
